Brooks eAcademy is offering summer reading programs that will help your child to become a confident and skilled reader! All programs are offered online and at times that fit your family’s busy summer schedule. Programs are a combination of live interactive classes and online lessons and quizzes that can be completed at your child’s pace. Class sizes are small (no more than 6 per class) so that students can get the support and attention they need to increase their skills. They are also based on current skills, grade level and needs. Classes are taught by experienced, certified and licensed classroom teachers. Program price also includes a free reading assessment for your child to pinpoint areas of need. Books for Grip the Text will be provided and shipped to you before the start of the session.
All students are welcome in our program. Does your child have an IEP or 504 plan? We can work with them too!

Grip the Text – Reading Comprehension
- Read one grade level/instructional reading level book per session
- Improve reading comprehension and fluency
- Learn to tackle difficult words
- Practice determining the theme of a text

Let’s Read – Basic Reading Skills
- Use of visual, auditory, kinesthetic and tactile senses to help students make connections between sounds and words
- Practice matching sounds with letters
- Work on word recognition and spelling of words
- Vocabulary, word understanding and word learning skills
